As we continue to reach our community and the world with the gospel, God has been faithfully growing his church here at North Metro. Over the past year, we’ve seen an encouraging increase in Sunday morning attendance and an excitement for worship and discipleship.

After much prayer and discussion, our leadership believes the next step in our mission is to launch two Sunday morning services beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026 with the service times being 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The vision behind this change is simple: to expand our outreach, deepen spiritual growth, and continue building a culture of multiplication. Offering two services will create more opportunities for people to worship, serve, and grow in their faith. It will also allow us to begin offering discipleship classes on Sunday mornings, complementing the growth already happening in our community groups.

Why Add a Second Service?

We’ve recognized that there are certain needs our single service currently cannot meet:

• Opportunities to serve and worship: Many who serve in kids ministry or other areas are unable to attend worship themselves. Two services make it possible to do both.
• Flexibility for families: With varying work and family schedules, multiple service times allow more people to participate each week.
• Room for discipleship: We’ll be able to offer new classes and connection opportunities that strengthen faith and community.

Although we are approaching capacity in our current service, this decision is about more than seating capacity; it’s about reaching new people, creating new opportunities for discipleship, care, and building a structure for long-term health and growth.

Connecting People to Christ

As we grow, one of our greatest desires is to ensure that no one is overlooked or lost in the crowd. We want every person who walks through our doors to be known, loved, and connected to Christ and others in community.

Adding another service helps us do that. It provides more space, more connection points, and more opportunities for people to serve, belong, and invite others to experience the hope of Jesus.

Studies show that when a church offers a new service that is relevant, meaningful, and well-planned, invitations from current members increase and so does gospel impact. People not only want choices, but they also often need choices. By offering two services, we’re doubling the opportunities for people to say “yes” to an invitation to church.

What About Volunteers?

Some may wonder if we’ll have enough volunteers for two services. Interestingly, statistics show that adding a second service often increases volunteer participation. Many who hesitate to serve because they desire to not miss the worship service now will have the freedom to do so, knowing they can serve during one service and attend worship during the other. We will be looking to recruit and train more volunteers as we move forward as well. If you are interested in the opportunities to serve, our biggest initial need is in the kid’s ministry. Looking Ahead

Ultimately, this change is about more than adding a service, it’s about stepping into the future God is calling us toward. We believe North Metro Church is meant to be an equipping, sending, and multiplying church raising up people who are on mission to see people saved by Jesus, devoted to Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus.

We desire to see a culture of leadership development grow even stronger as we look to raise up more ministry team members, leaders, deacons, elders, pastors, missionaries, and church planters who are being discipled, empowered and sent out of North Metro Church. Launching a second service is a faith-filled move that will prepare us, stretch us and will help us gain valuable experience for future church planting and multiplication.

And if, after a season, we sense that God is leading us differently, then we’ll adjust and trust him with the next step.

Lastly, I want to encourage us with my personal life verse, Proverbs 3:5–6, which states: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

We believe God is directing our path forward, and we are excited to take this step together trusting him to continue doing more than we could ask or imagine.
