Financial FAQs
Q. Does the church operate from a budget? If so, how is it determined?
A. The church prepares a budget on an annual basis and operates on a fiscal year from January 1 through December 31.
The first step in the budgeting process begins with the vision set by the lead pastor and the elders. The vision is the driving force for the budget.
Once the lead pastor and elders set the vision and emphasis for the upcoming year, the church staff works with the finance team to prepare a budget. The final budget is presented to the elders for review, adjustment, and approval. The congregation is invited to review and ask questions about the budget in the weeks leading up to the final approval by the elders.
The administration of the church monitors the budget and cash flow on a weekly basis and makes recommendations to the finance team and elders based on actual revenue and expenses.
Q. Does the church provide tax-deductible receipts?
A. Yes, we send annual contribution statements by the end of January. Our ability to provide you with a statement is based on having your most up-to-date contact information. To confirm your details, email us at [email protected] or call the church office at 303-457-8560.
