Greeters create a warm and welcoming environment with a first impression that lasts. As greeting members it’s important to extend that extra level of care to our church community!

Position Requirements

• Serve once a month.
• Greet people with a “hello” or “good morning”.
• Guide or direct people through the building.
• Answer any questions the guest might have.

Cup team members prepare quality coffee refreshments.

Position Requirements

• Serve 1-2 times a month.
• Help set up and tear down the kitchen (ingredients and machines).
• Prepare hot, iced, or blended coffee.
• Have knowledge of how to run the register.
• Clean all coffee tools to ensure they’re ready for the next team.

The usher team serves during church services by assisting with seating, guiding attendees, and helping maintain a spirit of worship and hospitality.

Time Commitment

• Weekly or as scheduled (typically 15–30 minutes before and after service)

Key Responsibilities

• Greet congregants with a warm smile and welcoming attitude
• Assist attendees in finding available seating, especially during crowded services
• Assist with communion, if applicable
• Help maintain order during services (e.g., guiding latecomers, managing flow)
• Respond to special needs (e.g., assisting elderly or those with mobility challenges)
• Monitor sanctuary entrances during service to minimize distractions
• Be available to assist the Safety Team during emergency situations (e.g., medical, security)
• Help tidy the sanctuary after the service (collect trash, straighten chairs, etc.)

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable, and respectful
• Dependable and punctual
• Discreet and calm under pressure
• A team player with a heart for service
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with seating as needed

Training and Support

Training will be provided for all ushers to ensure they are comfortable with their responsibilities and know how to handle different scenarios (e.g., emergencies, full seating, etc.).

Groups are at the heart of community here at North Metro Church! Becoming a Community Group Leader allows you to create a welcoming space where people can grow spiritually, build relationships, and support one another.

Community Group Leader

Lead and nurture a small group by providing a place for fellowship, prayer, and spiritual growth. You can lead in different formats:

Home Group: Host a group in your home for regular Bible studies and discussions.

Freestyle Group: Gather people around a shared interest (e.g., hiking, sports, coffee meetups) while integrating faith into the experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate consistent group meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
• Lead discussions based on North Metro Church teachings and Bible studies.
• Engage with group members to foster strong relationships and support.
• Mentor and encourage members to grow in their faith.
• Attend leadership trainings hosted by Ministry Pastor Stephen Wood.

Spiritual Gifts Needed

• Leadership (motivator and visionary)
• Encouragement (comforter and counselor)
• Discipling (instructing and caring)

Missions Ministry Team

Join the Missions Ministry Team, led by Ministry Pastor Stephen Wood, to serve as a Liaison or Support Partner for one of our mission partnerships.

Liaison: Stay in direct contact with the mission partnership you are assigned, providing ongoing updates and support.

Support Partner: Work alongside the liaison to assist and support mission partnerships through communication, resources, and prayer.

You’ll be the first-person families see to help ensure families have a great Sunday Service (this is just the first 15 minutes before service; you will be able to attend the morning service).

• Helping parents understand drop-off and pickup processes and where the children’s classes are.

Downstairs: Babies–Kindergarten
Upstairs: 1st–5th grade

• Help children (and their parents) feel loved, welcomed, and ready for service. All items needed to lead the children are provided; a willing heart is all you need.
• Teaching the lesson – curriculum is provided
• Craft – all items needed are provided
• Helpers will assist the teacher with the children. Helping children find bible verses, handing out coloring sheets and activity pages and assisting with games.

  Sell snacks and drinks to students
• Games leader
  Organize and lead big-group games on Sunday nights
• Event set-up and tear-down
  Assist in any set-up needs for weekly events and special events
• Tech
  Run music during games and teaching slides during messages
• Greeter
  Provide the students with a warm, welcoming face as they arrive

• Small Group Apprentice
  Assist the Level 3 Leader in leading small group conversations.
• Sunday Night Stage Host
  Shepherd the Sunday Night service as a stage host. Responsibilities may include leading a group game, presenting announcements, and introducing the topic of the message.
• Small Group Leader
  Primary leader of a small group of students (groups are determined by grade and gender).

The worship band includes vocalists and musicians.

The first step in joining the worship band is an audition, and that starts with answering a few questions. Please submit this form to express your interest.

The tech team is a subset of the worship team. We all work together toward the goal of providing an atmosphere in which people can experience God through music and teaching.

While the band provides the music, the techs provide audio and visual support for the church in the auditorium and on the livestream.

Sound Tech — This role “mixes” the audio, adjusting individual volume and processing to provide clear, professional-quality sound to the audience, whether in-house or on the livestream.

Media Tech — The media tech operates ProPresenter on the presentation computer, putting everything on the screens, including song lyrics, promotion slides, video clips, sermon notes, etc.

Lighting Tech — This person operates a lighting control panel to light the stage and the house. The current system is a fairly simple analog setup. The future goal is to add more lights and upgrade to LED lighting with a digital console.

Video Camera Operator — This role can be very basic or it can be more in-depth. The basic version is to aim the camera and zoom in and out as directed by the video director. There is a lot of room to get deeper into a creative video role, especially outside of Sunday services.

Video Director — The person in this role directs the camera operators to setup shots, then switches between them and includes the appropriate media coming from ProPresenter to create both the livestream source and a recording of the service.

Livestream Tech — Sets up and monitors the livestream connection and feedback.

Producer — The producer oversees and directs the production team, mitigates any issues, and communicates with other teams to ensure a smooth service.

The Safety Team helps provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who attends. Team members stay alert during services and events, ready to assist with medical issues, emergencies, or other safety concerns. They use their training and certifications as needed and contact emergency services when required. Serving on this team is a way to care for others and support the mission of the church in a practical way. Certain qualifications and training are required. If you’re calm under pressure, observant, and have a heart to serve, we invite you to consider joining the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A desire to serve, at least some knowledge of plants, and a passion for keeping our property looking beautiful and inviting. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

We have a lot of good tools so people don’t need to have their own tools. Work hours are extremely flexible.
