Prayer Sunday
On Sunday, July 5, our worship center will be under construction with our AVL install and we won’t be able to have access to that portion of our facility, so we will be going out together to pray over our city.
We believe God has placed us in Thornton for a purpose, and based on Jeremiah 29:7, where we read that God called the exiles from Israel to “seek the welfare of the city,” we are going to do the same. So instead of a traditional worship service that morning, we’ll gather at 9am in the North Metro Church café and then head out to spread across our community at six prayer sites to pray for families, schools, neighborhoods, first responders, city leaders, and the people who call Thornton home. This isn’t canceling church. This is the church, going out to pray over our city.
Our hope is simple: that God would move in Thornton, that people would come to know Jesus, and that North Metro Church would be known as a people who love and pray for our city.
We are ALL meeting at North Metro Church at 9am, after which we will head out to our sites.
