2 Chronicles 7:14

…if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Psalm 139:23–24

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

■ Ask God to show you the condition of your heart and be open to receive what he shows you.

■ Is there anything that you’ve put before the Lord?

■ Is there any sin that has a hold of you? Will you confess and repent? Forgiveness is waiting for you in Jesus.

Colossians 3:13

…bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Matthew 5:23–24

“So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.”

■ Pray that God will bring light to any unforgiveness you may have in your heart.

■ Pray that God will reveal to you any unresolved conflict.

■ Ask God to help you be merciful and gracious with others and go and seek out forgiveness and reconciliation in your relationships.

Ephesians 2:4–7

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:13–14

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

■ Praise God for his great love for you and that when you were dead in your sin, he made you alive in Christ.

■ Express your gratitude for the salvation you received by faith in Jesus.

■ Reflect on his faithfulness and kindness to you and thank him for his past mercies in your life.

■ Pray that daily you will be thankful for your salvation and that you will love God with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Psalm 119:18

Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from your law.

■ Pray that God would increase your desire to be in his Word and delight in it.

■ Pray that God will show you great things from his Word.

■ Ask God to make you a person who delights in God, his Word, and pursues him above all things.

■ Pray that the Lord would grant you a spirit of wisdom and that you might know him better and enjoy him more as you grow as a disciple.

Jeremiah 33:3

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

Zephaniah 3:17

“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save, he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”

■ Whom has God put on your heart who needs to know him? Would you pray for their salvation? Ask God what he may have you do to share the gospel with that person or those persons.

■ Pray that as family members we would be faithful to encourage one another to continue to walk by faith in Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:10

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

Philippians 2:1–4

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. ■ Pray that God would show you ways that you can engage in working to build bridges and cross divides.

■ Pray for our Worship Center update and that the Lord would provide financially. This update isn’t just about renovation, it’s about mission. It’s about continuing to be and make disciples by creating a space that serves people well for the next 20 years of ministry, outreach, and worship.

Psalm 51:12

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

■ Pray that we would be joyful worshipers, lifting up the name of Jesus and his goodness, drawing others to believe and be saved.

■ Pray that our children and students would see us delight in God more than the things of the world and that they would be drawn to him because of our joy.

Ephesians 6:18

…and we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s coworker in the gospel of Christ, to establish and exhort you in your faith.

■ Pray for those you know who might be struggling in their faith. Ask God to show you how to come alongside them in their struggle.

■ Pray that our pastors and staff would not grow weary but would walk in a manner worthy of the Gospel.

■ Ask God to help you be an encouragement to others.

■ Pray for our church as we launch a second service on March 1st, and that many people will be drawn to the gospel as we provide another time for people to encounter Jesus.

Matthew 28:19–20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

John 20:21

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

■ Praise God for the privilege of walking with Jesus, knowing him, and making him known to others.

■ Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where and to whom he is sending you as a witness as you surrender yourself to his call to be a disciple-making disciple.

■ Pray that the Holy Spirit would make you effective in calling others to follow Jesus and helping them walk as disciples of Christ.

■ Pray for God to use you to make an eternal impact in the lives around you.

Matthew 9:38

“Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Luke 10:2

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

■ Pray earnestly that the Lord would continue to send out laborers from North Metro Church into the world to share the gospel and make disciples.

■ Pray that the Lord would raise up godly Christian leaders in schools, businesses, homes, and many other places in our communities, who will be bold with the gospel.

Mark 1:17

And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

■ Ask God what it means for you to become a fisher of men/women in your circle of influence.

■ Pray for our strategic mission partners: City of Thornton, Skylake Senior Center, Kenya, Tanzania, La Paz Mexico.

■ Pray that many would be sent from North Metro Church to the nations.

Revelation 7:9–10

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

■ Praise God that by his Holy Spirit he is continually calling people from every tribe and tongue and nation to know and believe the gospel.

■ Ask God to fill his people with love for him and for one another, that the world may believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

■ Pray for the persecuted Christians around the world. Ask that God would protect them, strengthen them and give them grace.

This isn’t the end; it’s just the beginning. Samuel Chadwick said, “The greatest answer to prayer is more prayer.” We have seen God move and answer our prayers. But that has only served to increase our awareness of our need for his intervention in our lives. It has created a greater longing to see him move. He has delighted us and satisfied us with his great love. But that has simply stirred a greater desire and yearning to be with him. Praying has called us to pray even more.

Jesus made an astounding promise to us: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (John 15:16). God chose us to bear fruit and bring him glory. He promised to hear and answer when we pray.

What would it look like for you to continue to call out to God for his people and his purposes in the world? What might God do if we just prayed? We want to encourage you to continue some of the disciplines you’ve developed over the last few weeks. Maintain a set time to pray each day. Keep a prayer journal, writing out your prayers. There’s too much at stake for us to stop now. Let’s pray.
