Evening of Prayer
Dec 2, 6:30 p.m.
Christmas is busy! A year’s worth of activities, parties, plays, and productions crammed into six weeks or less! It’s easy to plow through Christmas without the needed time to slow down, reflect, and pray. With this in mind, we will have an evening of prayer on December 2. This time is open to all as we pray together for our community, country, and church.
JOY Fellowship (50+) Christmas Dinner and Caroling
Dec 7, 5:30 p.m.
JOY Fellowship Christmas dinner and caroling is Saturday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the North Metro Café, catered by Bleu Sage. Tickets are $10, available from Pat Peterson, and everyone is encouraged to give generously toward Christmas gift cards for needy families.
Students Big Give
Dec 8, 6:00 p.m.
The Big Give event is about being generous followers of Jesus. Students in grades 6–12, along with adult leaders, will be going into the Thornton community and finding ways to serve people in the name of Jesus. During a season that is often focused on getting, with the Big Give we share the love of Jesus through giving.
North Metro Church is proud to be a sponsor for Thornton’s WinterFest event December 13–15. We will have a booth next to the skating rink where we’ll invite people to our Christmas services, do face painting for kids, and have a lot of fun. With more than 35,000 people expected to attend, it is a significant event for the community of Thornton, and a great way to get in the holiday spirit with friends and neighbors.
Dec 21, 10 a.m.
Our 4th and 5th graders are having a Preteen Christmas Skate at Skate City Westminster on December 21. This is event is a great way for kids to grow in community with each other. Meet at Skate City Westminster at 10:00 a.m. Admission will be provided. Bring your own skates or rent skates for $2.50. Invite your 4th/5th grade friends.
