James Merkley

Worship and Creative Arts Minister

James and his wife, Erin, were both raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, and have spent most of their lives there. Out of high school, James traveled to New Life Church in Colorado Springs, where he studied under the Worship and Creative Arts program they had there. Following his studies there, James interned at New Life Church before heading back home to Fort Collins where he and Erin met. James then continued his studies in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, at John Brown University, where he studied under the Biblical and Theological program. James then returned to Colorado, where he and Erin married and he served at a non-profit, social-work agency called The Matthews House. He now serves at North Metro Church.

James enjoys basketball, baseball, skateboarding, and being creative via graphic design, videography, and songwriting. He has recently started a self-produced songwriting project called “Heartache and Heroes”. Erin loves to dance and teaches dance at several studios. She enjoys being creative and loves to bake, design, and teach. She also loves calling dances for events.
