Community Groups

The first church in Acts (Chapter 2) recognized the need for community. People gathered in homes to pray, learn and deepen relationships. The more they met, the closer they grew with one another and with God. One measurement of success at North Metro is to see every person offered the opportunity to join and participate in a Community Group. Groups are available almost every night of the week and are open to all adults, and we have recently added a community group specifically for the Hispanic community. If you are interested in attending or joining a community group, please contact Jenni Gooch ([email protected]). Childcare is provided in some groups.

Community groups provide four things:

A place to CONNECT.
“…yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 (LB)

A place to PROTECT.
“ By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers” 1 John 3:16 (ESV)

A place to GROW.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

A Place to IMPACT. (Church and Community)
“you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to
the end of the earth..” Acts 1:8

How Community Groups Work

Groups meet once a week in places all around the city and provide a place for you to connect, grow, discuss the issues and challenges of life, and impact your local community. Regardless of your age, interest, or location, we are sure there is a group for you. Community groups are also where we pray, care for one another, and are missed if we don’t show up! If you would like to join a group, the best option is to attend the next Grouplink to find a match. Grouplink is a 90-minute event where you will meet group leaders and leave connected to a community group. You can find out more at the church or by contacting Jenni Gooch.
